You and your driver trainer are together for the whole JD Truck Training Centre period and you will work as hard or easy as that particular trainer does. That may not be too appealing to some and it isn't really too much fun. The good thing is that it is over so quickly and then you'll be on your own. Make the best of this training and you'll be fine.
Private trucking schools will take their time and won't pressure you. Remember, they want you to enjoy your learning experience so you will recommend their school to others. Trucking companies are hit and miss... some of them may push you and pressure you to keep their agenda alive... it's YOUR privilege to be working there so you BETTER perform. Now not all of them will treat you this way. A lot it will depend on the Truck driving school individual instructors.
Yea, I know the requirements to become a truck driver are not much. All you need to do is be able to speak English, read English, and be able to write in the USA. Also you must not have a felony record, or be mental. Training going through Truck driving school is easy enough, it only takes 3 weeks, and you are almost guaranteed a CDL license. It gets very hard after you go through school,believe me.
Ride aware - A car turning left across your path causes the most frequent accident. Three-fourths of motorcycle accidents involve collisions with other vehicles, the majority caused by the other driver. Intersections can be bad spots, so slow down and be prepared to react.
First I like to point out the legal side. This is a BIG ONE. Being a truck driver is fun and you can make a lot, or a ton of money. So what do I mean legal? Because we both know that you need a CDL license to drive... When I say legal we are looking at your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record). Why is this important? If you have 1 too many violations most trucking companies will not hire you. This is what the HR Truck Licence schools do not tell you.
For me making money was the bottom line and I was ready to sacrifice anything. Big money in big trucks sounded good and I wasn't gonna stop until I got on the road to change my life.
